Gilles Michat, Managing Director

Gilles has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 6 years in M&A and 9 years in the private equity fund of funds business. Having started his career in corporate banking with Société Générale, after a couple of years of experience he went to New York University to pursue his MBA. During the 2 years of his studies there, he worked part-time at PaineWebber in their asset management division. Back to France in 1998, he joined Close Brothers, a European M&A advisory boutique.

In 2000 Gilles joined Apax Partners Finance and became involved in the development and management of the private equity fund of funds. Since 2004 Gilles started to allocate more time on marketing and fundraising with the launch in 2005 of a first multi-investors fund of funds. Since 2000 Gilles has been a member of the Investment Committee of all funds of funds under management, and is involved today in the supervision of due diligence, in the relations with GPs, and in investor relations in France, Europe and the Middle-East.

Gilles holds an MBA from New York University and an undergraduate degree from Montpellier Business School in France.
